Definition
of Drop Ship - The shipping of a product directly
from the manufacturer to the customer without
requiring inventory carrying by the retailer.
This
is a great way to start a business that can make
you good money, but with very little start-up
costs. There are two ways to sell Drop Ship Items.
You can either sell them on Auction Sites such
as eBay or sell them on your website in a online
shopping mall fashion. Once your customer has
paid you your sale price you would then contact
the Drop Shipper and tell them of the order. You
would pay the Drop Shipper the wholesale price
that was agreed upon and the Drop Shipper will
ship the product off to your customer in your
Business Name (as if you were shipping the item
yourself). You would then pocket the difference
between what you paid the Drop Shipper in Wholesale
and what your customer paid you. You determine
how much money you make on each item.
With
Drop Shippers, you don't pay up front to stock
products. You don't warehouse anything, or ship
anything. You simply place product information
(images and descriptions) on your Internet site
or auction, take orders, and email those orders
to your Drop Shipper. THEY ship the product to
your customer's door. You never have to touch
it. YOU set your Retail Price, and pay the Supplier
the Wholesale Price, making a profit every time.
It's
a great way to start an Internet business for
VERY little money.
